Third mumps case confirmed at Jacobs High School: all three were vaccinated

(Note from Erin: It’s sad but no surprise that all three students who have come down with the mumps were vaccinated. Merck has even been sued by their own virologists for their ineffective MMR vaccine.)

A third case of mumps has been confirmed at a Jacobs High School in Algonquin- in a vaccinated child. 1 The district sent a notice to parents this week confirming that test results for a student with a suspected case of mumps had come back positive.

The Kane County Health Department reminded everyone that there is no risk for people to be in the same building where the mumps has been confirmed because mumps is only spread through direct contact with saliva. The health department told district officials to exclude any unvaccinated students at Jacobs High School for the remainder of the school year.

And then that same district promptly required school district officials to exclude any unvaccinated students at Jacobs High School for the remainder of the school year. 2

So, there are in no danger of contracting the disease AND those spreading the disease are vaccinated but the unvaccinated now have to stay home.

It’s not just happening in Illinois though. In Texas, the number of mumps cases has hit a 20 year high. And in Arkansas “90 percent to 95 percent of school-aged children and 30 percent to 40 percent of adults involved in the outbreak have been fully immunized.”3 (Doesn’t it make you wonder why on earth you’d get the vaccine if you are just gonna get sick anyway?)
